Did we mention this recipe is super easy to make?
Also known as “Rooster sauce,” this tasty product originally hails from Si Racha, an eastern city on the coast of Thailand. Sriracha gained popularity in the United States in 1980 when Vietnamese immigrant David Tran founded Huy Fong Foods so he could share this delicious, multipurpose sauce with the American population. The company blew up and today sells more than 10 million bottles per year.
The good news is, Sriracha doesn’t just taste amazing—it’s made with spicy ingredients like red chili peppers, vinegar and garlic that boost your metabolism for an extra little weight loss kick.
